Mayor Niki Coats ended his term of office with the City of Cleveland on May 16, 2017, and handed over the reins to Otis Cohn who ran unopposed for Mayor. Marilyn Clay won the election for Council Position 2. She ran against Joe Robertson. Mike Penry ran unopposed for his position as Council Postion 1. All three positions were sworn-in toward the end of the monthly City Council meeting. Following the meeting was a reception in the front lobby of City Hall.
