Comprehensive Plan 2003 - 2012
The
Comprehensive plan prepared by Public Management, Inc. is
designed to assist the City in improving the living
conditions of its citizens. Information, analysis, and
recommendation are given in the areas of the water system,
the wastewater system, the street system, economic
development, the Central Business District, Open Space and
Recreation, Public Buildings, and a Capital Improvements
Plan. The plan is intended to be a guide for the citizens
of Cleveland for making development decisions for the
community.
Central Business
District Revitalization Plan 2004
The vision
of this plan, prepared by the Joiner Partnership, is to
create a downtown Central Business District for Cleveland
that will be the focal point of community life. The overall
revitalization strategies included in the plan encourage the
transformation of the Central Business District from it’s
current state into a thriving “Main Street” for Cleveland
and surrounding communities.
Liberty County Transit Plan 2009
The
Houston-Galveston region is home to 5.4 million people,
including many persons who do not have access to an
automobile or have other mobility limitations. For the most
part, these people depend on public transportation to meet
their transportation needs to employment, education and
training, shopping, and medical trips. During several
public meetings that were held in Liberty County in the
summer of 2008, more than 120 concerned citizens, business
leaders and elected officials pointed out the transit
related needs in their respective communities and within the
County. This plan is a result of the public input given
throughout the process and was created by HGAC in
cooperation with the URS corporation.
