City establishes application process for Boards and Commissions

Apply to Serve on a Board or Commission
Volunteers are vital to the city. We encourage you to submit an application today. It's a great way to be involved at a local level and enhance the quality of life in Cleveland.
Applicants may submit their application on our website under the Boards and Commissions page at or e-mail the completed form to or Paper copies may be faxed to 281-592-6624 or mailed to the attention of the City Secretary’s Office at City of Cleveland City Hall , 907 E. Houston St. Cleveland, TX 77327. 
The City Secretary's Office maintains a file of applicants interested in being considered by City Council for appointment as a board or commission member. Applications are solicited as often as necessary during the year to provide a pool of applicants. Appointments are generally made by the City Council in January of each year. Terms are effective immediately. 
Appointments may be made for a full term or  to fill an unexpired term. Terms for board and commission members are generally 2 years, but terms are determined by the specific board or commission. Alternate members serve a 1-year term. Board and commission members may be considered for reappointment.
