[ARCHIVED] Lawn Maintenance Bid

The City of Cleveland is currently accepting bids for Lawn Maintenance for the following: Specifications include, but are not limited to: 

1.1 Work. Bids are for work to be done at the following locations: City of Cleveland - Municipal Park 25350 Hwy 3211105 East Cleveland, Texas 77327 Right of Way Between Boothe and E. Hanson On both sides of the railroad tracks The Gateway Marker Sign south of town Located at Loop 573 and l-69 feeder Rd. Cleveland Memorial Cemetery 227 Peach St. Cleveland Tx 77327 Cleveland Memorial Gardens 1030 Green St. Cleveland Tx 77327 

1.2 Requirements for work Performed. Bids should include cost for the following items to be done: a. Finish mowing, edging and trimming all turf areas including sports field. b. Clear all hardscape areas and removal of all excess grass clippings. c. Maintain hardscape areas with herbicide to keep free of weeds. d. Maintain all flower beds at Gateway sign. e. Removal of all light branches & debris

 1.3 Timing and Frequency Bids should be for 42/43 cuts per year at the following frequency: a. Weekly maintenance from Mid-March until end of October. b. Bi-Weekly maintenance from November until Mid-March. c. lf grounds are too saturated to maintain on schedule, the cutting may be made up when grounds are suitable for equipment to operate on without causing any ruts or damage to turf Must perform 42/43 cuts per year. 

1.4 How present cost of service. Bids should include a cost break down for the following: a. Monthly charge - for all regular work included in contract consistent with items listed in section 1.2 b. One-time charge- for one-time visit/call out- (for non-contact services). 

1.5 Defect in bid submittal. A defect in a bid or proposal is NON-WAIVABLE and requires disqualification of the bid or proposal if the City determines that waiver of the defect would create an unfair advantage for the bidder or disadvantage to actual or potential bidders or waiver would deprive the city, in its judgment, of its assurance that the contract would be entered into, performed, and guaranteed according to its specified requirements. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY THE CITY ACCEPT A 8ID AFTER THE SPECIFIED TIME AND DATE, NOR ACCEPT AN UNSIGNED BID. The City reserves its judgment and retains the right to waive minor irregularities or informalities which are lesser in nature and which may, but don't have to be, waived. 

1.6 Contract. By signing this bid and submitting it, applicant agrees to abide by the terms of these specifications including entering into a Services Contract in substantially the form as attached hereto as Exhibit "A." 

1.7 Where and how to submit Bid. Please submit a sealed bid with a price breakdown as described above on provided bid sheet which includes monthly base price and individual cost of individual items (if offered), to: Maintenance Bid City of Cleveland Attn: Terry Blackwell, City Secretary 907 East Houston Cleveland, Texas 77327 Sealed Bids must be clearly marked "SEALED BIDS LAWN MAINTENANCE- and are due by:  April 27, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Cleveland City Hall- - 907 E.
