The City of Cleveland is soliciting bids for the City of Cleveland Police Evidence Building. Sealed bids shall be addressed to the City Secretary of the City of Cleveland, Texas, hereinafter called "City", in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents adopted by the City Council of the City of Cleveland, Texas, will be received at the office of the City Secretary of the City of Cleveland, Texas until 2:00 p.m. on the 10th DAY OF MAY 2023. Any bids received after closing time may be returned unopened.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City Secretary of the City of Cleveland at 2:00 p.m. on the 10th DAY OF MAY in the Council Chambers.
The contractor shall identify his sealed bid on the outside of the envelope by writing the words

Sealed bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond from a reliable surety company in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the City of Cleveland, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him.

The right is reserved as the interest of the City may require to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in proposals received.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm, April 27, 2023. This meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 907 E. Houston, Cleveland, Texas, 77327. This meeting is not mandatory.
